This sucks. The takeaway is that cars can be sold with all the necessary hardware but you need a software update to use what you already paid for? That sucked back in the days whan they did that with videogames but at least you wouldn't pay a 100k for the privilege of being a beta tester. You get a lot of credit for actually taking it on a trail like this and letting people look at it. However, you need to mention the fire risk on any EV review. EV fires, particularly from Tesla products are very common now. These trucks have an even bigger battery to burn.
